Our plants provide energy-efficient, environmentally friendly heating and cooling services in densely populated central business districts and industrial and campus settings. Our customers use our services as an alternative to operating their own steam boilers, chillers or other energy systems.

Akron Thermal Cooling, LLC provides chilled water cooling to a section of downtown Akron, Ohio that includes a 2,000,000-square-foot office building and light industrial park, the Akron Aeros baseball stadium, an adjacent office building and the Akron Civic Theater.The plant is operated under an agreement with Akron Thermal, LP, which we have an option to acquire. Akron Thermal provides steam heat to 17,000,000 square feet of building space in downtown Akron.

Customers include Akron Children's Hospital, Akron General Hospital, Summa Hospital and the University of Akron. Akron Thermal operates two plants. One includes three boilers that can operate on natural gas, wood waste or wood chips. A second boiler plant can operate on coal or natural gas.
